If anybody uses this, it needs to be upgraded after putting on sp2 from ver 1.2 to 1.2.1
They tell you right away to update and with broadband connection takes no time at all.
The point of this post is that for the first time I have completely passed one of these security checks.
So I guess sp2 does make things more secure.

Thanks. I have it on both my machines and I have NEVER passed even once. It's still a handy tool, though.

I've run this on my normal machines, and it did pick up a few things - including a patch (the microsoft VM) - My XP disk includes SP1, and I'd installed SP2 - it was a surprise to see something in there which hadn't been patched by SP2.
It picked up on quite a few MS Office patches that needed to be installed, which means the system is a bit safer than before.

One problem to watch out for is the password checking. I installed the analyser on one of my test PCs, which had a weak admin password (I just throw passwords on whilst configuring PCs if there is no security risk, just to make sure there's a password at all, then change them later)
The password checker gave the usual red X and said that one account had a weak password or a blank password. Clicking on the details brought up the account with the weak password, but the other account, which has no password at all, had a green tick mark beside it!
Whether this would be picked up if I changed the admin password is unknown-I'll let you know.
