ok my system was slammed by a virus or something(system wont let me in my computer(folder) or control panel giving me an error about Iexplore fatal error relating to a Krnl386.dll then another error related to Kernal386.dll,it even threw out some errors pertaining to some *.vxd and other *.dll components.well with all these errors i decided reformatting is my only option except....I dont have my bios for my motherboard so i downloaded the original from the manufacturer. This brings me to my question..besides having an OS install cd-rom,manufaturers bios(made sure it was for my MB)and a bootdisk..what else do I need.Already have the drivers for cd-rom,vid card, ethernet card, sound card, mouse drivers.sorry for the long post but i wanna make sure i have everything for a clean install.

1. reformat your computer loading from a boot disk. try to get a boot disk from a friend's computer that does not have a virus to avoid reoccurance.
2. load windows from the CD ROM. dont forget to have CD-ROM enabled http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

Check this PC911 Clean Install (http://www.pcnineoneone.com/howto/clean1.html) tutorial. It has a lot of information that you might find helpful.
You do not need to flash the BIOS unless you need to upgrade the BIOS to correct a specific hardware problem that the BIOS upgrade is designed to fix.
