What a shame....a program I've used and enjoyed for a long time has seen it's final days. (I still use it).
Alex Van Kaam has decided to stop developing his great program Motherboard Monitor after 7 1/2 years.
This news is a bit old now (July 6th), but I don't recall seeing a post here about it....maybe I missed it.
I only discovered it while looking around for updates to some of my programs...ok, so I was bored. :p
Anyway, the latest (and last) version is 5.3.7. Sorry to see it go. :(

The above was a post of mine almost two months ago......and no replies.
Hey! Isn't there a Beatle Song called "No Reply"? (Hehe...of course there is).
Anyway, doesn't anybody care????? (He said while wiping his eyes and trying to hold back the tears) :(
This was a great program...In fact, I'm still using it on two Computers.
Come on now guys....I KNOW some of you have or do use it too.
Can we have a little sympathy here???
Don't mind me folks....was a little bored and lost my mind for a second (again).
All kidding aside though, what's a good replacement when the time comes?
I love this program.
OK.....carry on, no need to reply.
I'll bring it up again two Months from now. :D

Boy, this is ironic! After years of accolades, I finally decided to try out MBM just recently. And now that I'm hooked, the programmer is taking a hike!? What kind of free-ware tech support is this?
Well, it's a bummer, to be sure, but now that mobos are coming standard with some type of temp sensor technology, I think MBM will live long and prosper. At least for a few years. :p
*sigh* I suppose now I'll have to take up the practice of putting in my own bay-mounted temp sensor in all my systems. It's strange in a way to see a landmark app like MBM bite the dust, tho, and I can't help but feel a little more lost in the complex and unforgiving world of computers...

There! See?
I knew there was someone out there that cared! :)
Thanks saphalline...at least I have someone to cry with now. :p
It really is a great program. I also think you're correct when you say it will be around for a while.
I know one thing. I have a copy or two of the last release, and as long as I have a Motherboard around that the Program supports (which is a whole lot of them), I'll continue to use it.
Still, a bummer for sure. :(
I know there are people around here that use it....(Whyzman comes to mind).
Either they just never saw my post, or were so distraught they were incapable of typing.

or were so distraught they were incapable of typing.
This is probably what happened. I myself couldn't do it, had to have someone else type for me. My involuntary spasms of depression were really that bad!
But, I'm getting better now. I'm seeing a nice therapist who's helping me to move on, to be brave enough to live in a world without MBM. Do you want my therapist's number? :p

:D
...Do you want my therapist's number? :p
I really appreciate the offer saphalline!
However, I'm feeling a little better now....
If you would just pass along the Prescription Number the Therapist gave you, that should suffice. :p

Don't worry guys. MBM isn't leaving the planet. It will be around for as long as Jabar has it on CD... ;)
Then some other young guy, with a project due for school, will come up with a new mobo monitoring program and it will be just the old guys who will remember when MBM was THE program.
