Processes in Task manager Xp

This is so weird
After doing the sp2 bit I noticed I had 1 more process than usual running in task manager, no big deal
Today I was looking in there for something else and now there are 5 less process than before and lots less ram being used.
I am sure that nothing was changed from when I looked yesterday.
Not complaining just wondering if this a good side effect from sp2.
I have checked this with both firefox and ie.

Hi Mark,

If you shut down the firewall and put the Security Center on manual it would lessen your running processes. Maybe that's it?

I don't think so as this all happened after I finished fooloing around with sp2
Not a big deal just thought it was weird
