Well, it was four years ago today when that first message went out. "Hello, world". The rest is history. :D

Congratulations Charles. You've provided a friendly and enjoyable place for folks to get together and geek out. Thanks.

Thanks Pete. Your leadership is one of the reasons the forums have been so successful.

A special thanks to our missing moderator. MJC, you pulled yeomans duty for a long time. If they let you off the mothership, stop by and say hey. You are missed.

And thanks to all the regulars and irregulars. You folks are the reason this is the first place I go each day when I log on.

4 years!!!!
I have only been here for 2 but I have always felt that this was one of the best places on the net.
I have met some great people here and hope the next few years are as good as the last few have been for the forums
Congrats Charles on keeping it simple and dignified
Mark

I've been here a little over a year now and enjoyed every minute of it.

A special thanks to our missing moderator. MJC, you pulled yeomans duty for a long time. If they let you off the mothership, stop by and say hey. You are missed.

They must have given him some time off to beam down since he did briefly show up HERE (http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=194515#post194515). :D

Thanks Charles, for some great sites and great forums !

I have learned a lot from here. Thanks to Pete, MJC and all other regulars who make this forums one of the nicest forums on net.

I used to be a member to two other forums. When I found this one, I no longer use the other two. The PcGuide has all I need. It's almost like building a friendship with some of the members. Even though I have never met any of you, it makes me feel like I would like to sit down and have a cup of coffee with you--or tea if that's what you like.:) My hat's off to Charles and the mods for keeping it the way that it is. As far as I'm concerned, it's the best out there.

Let me add my 2 cents or shillings or sheckels or whatever.

What make this place stand out is the sense of community that the members of this forum have created here. It's not just a place to geek out.

Thanks to all of you great folks that make this place so special.....

Indeed, a unique camaraderie! I have enjoyed my time here on the forums immensely. The oversight of Charles, Pete, and mjc has provided an atmosphere conducive for learning and in turn a venue for a community with an infectuous helping and caring spirit.

Folks who drop by for a hand with a problem, or those of us who choose to "hang," cannot help but evidence the spirit here. It is refreshing to realize we provide a venue where folks are invited to feel comfortable. Indeed, a place where ignorance is not treated as though it were stupidity, where questions are handled with respect.

Stir in a little humor and, well....

Charles, thanks for your brainchild and Happy Anniversary! :)

Well, everyone above has pretty much covered it better than I can.
There is no question this is a unique place to be.
Hard to believe I've been here well over two years now.
(I'm sure it seems like I've been here a heck of a lot longer to some of you). :p

I can't even remember anymore how it was I came to find this place, or what I was in search of.
I just know that it had a friendly atmosphere and a feeling like no other forum I had ever been to.
Now, it's become so addictive, It's always the first place I go after my Computer boots.....wouldn't want to miss anything.
In fact, it would also be the first place I would go if my Computer DIDN'T boot! :D

I would like to echo the phenomenal job that Charles, Pete and mjc have done here over the years to keep The PC Guide the place it is.

As several people have already mentioned in this thread, there really is a bond here, a family atmosphere like no other.

Happy Anniversary indeed! And many, many more to come I'm sure. :)

I will have been here for my 2nd or 3rd year, I can't even remember, this january. The only reason why I am typing this is because of my sister's-friend's-dad (evalroy) referred me when I was thinking about building my computer. I've learned a lot, and although I don't frequent this place as much as I used to I still learn a lot by reading others posts and asking any questions I can't find out anywhere else.

Great job ixl, pete, n mjc!

Thanks for all the compliments, we've put a lot of time and effort into it and I think it's been well worth it. A week and a few days and I'll be seeing a 4 year anniversary too, sometimes it's hard to believe it's been that long.

I've always been really pleased with the general atmosphere the regulars usually keep, that's what makes it the best place on the net to hang out. Guess I can't deny that I had just a little to do with it myself...

Thanks to everyone who has donated their time and expertise, especially those of you who have put up with me for all or most of those 4 years. I know sometimes it hasn't been easy, I've had to just move along and come back a couple of hours later to deal with touchy situations at times...but in general it's been just entertaining and educational. Not to mention totally addicting... :D
