Real slow PC

Look at this, my second day on this forum and i already have a second thread, lol. Well, I have a PC that is really slow, especially when running games. This isn't the same computer from my first thread.This computer has:

Specs:
Processor: Pentium III-400mHz
Memory: 384 MB RAM
Hard drive: 120 GB (Partitioned into 4 drives)
Operating System: Window XP-Home Edition

I did reformat and reinstall Windows onto the computer, hoping that will cure the problem, but I am still having that lag. If anyone can help me, I appreciate it

My suggestion would be to upgrade your processor. 400MHz is at the bottom of the range for running XP and modern games.

Check out you Motherboard specifications to see what possible processor upgrade is possible. Others might have better soultions

Also, have a look at Black Viper's site (www.blackviper.com) and see what services in WinXP can be turned off. This will help comsiderably.
