Hi my computer start up very slow, my o/s is window xp home ed. when it get to the window starting up screen it get slow and stay at that point for about 1 min I know what a min bt it use to start right up. Does anybody have any Idear, I defrag it I scan for virus, I also have adware,and spybot and I done both but still nothing differnec. please help.

Remove unnecessary programs from startup.. like MSN messenger , Yahoo messenger etc.

How much memory do you have?
I advise going to black viper's (http://www.blackviper.com) site and turn off unneeded Services, only a couple at a time, and test to make certain you are not breaking the system, if you have a problem you turn the last disabled services back on and try others.
You can also run Hijack This and post a log here with symptoms and the experts can tell you what to turn off to speed it up.
