Does anyone know if the following programs are yet compatible with Service Pack 2...
Solidworks 2004
AutoCAD 2002
Norton AV Corporate Edition
Microsoft Exchange
Quickbooks Small Business
I would really appreciate a quick response. I already have the disk but I dont want to install it until I am completely sure. Thanks.

I don't have that info, but MS has a new download for an SP2 compatabilty checker for network professionals on their site. I am missing the link but saw it posted within the last week.
I would check the program sites you listed for updates also.
Aside from adding a few things I didn’t want reinstalled ( Ms Messenger)
It hasn’t caused any hassles with Autocad , Nortons or Quickbooks on my system
Just the normal work involved turning off the BS it adds enabled by default

SP2 disabled auto-update on Norton AV 2002 on my wife's notebook. I haven't seen a fix for this yet.

I had NAV2004 on the P4 notebook, it works fine after SP2.

My notebook is a low-end Dell and the wife only uses it for browsing and email. It is also my "test" machine, so it gets the SP2 update. The NAV problem is the only one I see. I go into the NAV console and push "enable" on the auto-update area and it doesn't work. I'm still looking for a fix, although I really haven't tried anything with it yet. I may uninstall and re-install sometime this week if I don't find anything.

Actually I thought NAV2003 was the first version that worked with XP, so much for that.
SP2 is also slowing my boot times down to almost 2 min.
it also changed the start order of my programs.
Other wise no real hassles.

Rick:
SP2 is also slowing my boot times down to almost 2 min.
I also noted a slowdown in boot, it helped a whole lot to do a defrag, I suspect things were turned back on that I previously turned off per
blackviper (http://www.blackviper.com) site, and am waiting to see what SP2 recommendations he comes up with.
I haven’t seen where any of the services that I disabled were restarted aside from that POS messenger being reinstalled and activated
But it can still be uninstalled using the command below without the Quotes “”
“ RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove”
I’ll have to give defrag a try .
I did however disable the security center included with SP2
Like the one zonealarm add .. I don’t need them to tell me I have Nav and zoneAlarm running
And I don’t use auto update for windows
So with those 3 items un checked the security center is turned off basically.
I’m sure MS has it still loading and looking. But till I find a uninstall for it I’ll have to live it

Dr Bob...
Another Forum member also had problems with NAV after SP2, and un-installing then re-installing apparently fixed the problem, so it's worth a shot.
As far as slower Boot times, I haven't noticed any changes at all on several machines, so I guess I'm just "lucky".
Yea, right...they call me "ol' lucky jabar".
I did defrag all computers though after seeing it suggested in more than one place.
On a somewhat related note, the prefetch folder also takes some time to rebuild itself.
And I am also interested to hear what Black Viper has to say about SP2 and related services.
In general, SP2 has gone amazingly well for me. No problems to speak of whatsoever. (Yep...they don't call me "ol' lucky jabar" for nothing) :p

Thanks Jabar,
I will try that sometime soon and report back. Boot time has been about the same for me too. I reformatted/reinstalled a couple of weeks before SP2. Think that may have cut down on the number of hassles.
