Can't Connect Online

Hey guys, I just installed SP2 yesterday....everything is fine...except one little problem. Now I can't connect to the internet!

I could get my connection back if I go to my "Network Connection" then 2nd button click on my modem and then select "Repair". But that's really annoying if i have to do that everytime i start up my comp. Is there a way that i can fix this?

oh yea, i have cable connection...so before SP2, i can go instantly online after a restart. Now its a pain in the ass.

Did you let Windows enable the firewall in SP2?

I had same issue with SP2 installed (cable modem). I uninstalled SP2 then connected to internet- minimized browser and installed SP2 and all is great.

Disable the firewall and reboot, see what happens. If you can connect, it's the firewall. You can than download a free one that works better anyway. the MS firewall causes more harm than good.
