Just a quick note, the first time everyday I check the forums it asks for my password to log in. I have cookies enabled and have changed nothing since the forum has been improved.
My name shows up but not my password.
I always click remember me but it seems not to stick from one day to the next.
Any suggestions?

When that happened to me it turned out the cause was:

My PC's date and time settings were incorrectly set [the year was incorrect].

Apparently cookies are time limited [as set by the site] and don't work if the PC's time setting is outside the range of the Cookie time limit.

If that isn't the case on your PC you might try deleting all the "Temporary Internet Files" and all the cookies.

I already posted about the same thing in another area. Time and date are fine. Still have to log in every time.

Same thing here, it recognizes the name but not the password.

When a site wouldn't log me in [given my name and password] I was told to delete all cookies and "Temporary Internet Files" and that fixed that problem.

I saw, I tried it, it did not help in this case.

Don't really know what to tell you guys.
It's generally not something that effects me.
Personally, I've always been such a fanatic about clearing Cookies and general "house cleaning" after leaving any site that requires a user name and password, that for me signing in again is just part of the routine.

I'll often browse the forum first, then sign in if and when I have something to say.
I think this habit started a long time ago...especially when I was signing off a secure sight where potentially sensitive information was involved.
Just didn't want any remnants of me or my password anywhere around. (just being a nut again as usual) :D
Really only a minor inconvenience to sign in again as far as I'm concerned.

(Just my silly opinion of course) :p

Updated to Firefox 1.0, now the site remembers the name but have to put in password, a little better.
