Unexpected restarting,please help!

I have a PC with a ASUS mainboard,a SAMSUNG monitor.
While the system is working,if I turn off monitor and then turn it on, the system automatically restart.I don't know why.Please help me!

Ok, a little more info is needed here....I've never seen a monitor affect a system that way.

SO....what OS are you using, Asus mainboard, but what CPU, chipset, is it onboard video....etc.

I am using WinME OS,Celeron CPU,Intel chipset,soundcard and videocard onboard.

If all else fails try upgrading power supply with at least 300watts.
In sufficient power supplies can cause your computer to do all sorts of strange things.
