I have Yahoo messenger installed and when I log on and if I have any Yahoo mail a little pop-up envelope tells me that I have mail. If I double click on this it takes me straight to my Yahoo mail. Just recently though when I click on it I get a fatal exception screen almost instantly. The message is as follows... A fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C00140DB in VXD VMM(01) + 000130DB the current app will be terminated. I know that VMM is the virtual memory manager and that the code refers to some specific problem but I don't know exactly what. I read somewhere that the win32.vxd file might have been corrupted and might need to be replaced but that it's not a simple procedure. I downloaded what I thought were a couple of fixes for this problem, namely something called VXD BAT FIX but to no avail. I uninstalled and reinstalled Messenger on someones advice but still no good. Ran something called PC Doctor but that didnt fix the problem either. I thought I had it sussed once when it allowed me to go to my mail after clicking the link but on shutdown that day I got the fatal exception message again but with a slightly different address. Could someone help to clarify this predicament for me?
