Does anyone have experience or use one of those Programs that create an 'encrypted' drive within ones HDD, that is accessible only by a password.
I require one that can quickly encrypt and decrypt about a gigabyte of data.
Is the created partition unquestionably inaccessible?

Be very careful if you wish to create encrypted drives - make sure you create enough security nets (backups and key recovery) to be able to get out of the brown smelly stuff - if things to wrong, you are seriously stuffed without the correct precautions.

It's dead easy if you have Win2K/XP installed on NTFS - encryption is then one of the options open to you.
There are third party apps (such as easy crypto http://www.handybits.com/easycrypto.htm) which can encrypt individual folders and their contents - though I don't know about whole drives.
Is the created partition unquestionably inaccessible? To all intents and purposes, unless the password is overcome, the encryption is totally secure. It can theoretically be broken by using enough high powered computing but this also would take a great deal of time and resources.
