Drive Image completes, but no file created

Running XP on a Laptop that I partitioned with Partition Magic 8 I can't get Drive Image to create a image file. I ran it 3 times, it appears to work, it finishes the sequence and reboots, but there is no file created! I'm imaging C to a folder in D.

This is running XP w/sp2 on a HP Laptop (modified HO O/S). I have run this using 2k with little problems (at least not this).

Any ideas??

Did you tell it to "hide" the backup partition?

Make it verify the image and if that doesnt work then try creating the image from the boot floppies rather than from within windows.

From your comments about w2k being ok it makes one wonder if this could in any way be sp2 related.

There are seldom problems creating image files though there can be problems in restoring images from within windows partic if one is needing to delete a partition for the restoration first. The floppies nearly always work as do installations of PM and DI on an EBCD, which is a great standby if there are problems with any of the partitioning and especially if one loses the ability to boot up at all.
