Boot Problems

My computer is turning on, but not booting up. Everything seems to be
powered up, fans on, hard drive spinning, and cd drive LEDs flashing
but no video comes up on the display. Also, the computer will not turn
off using the power button, I had to shut off the power strip. It was just built, and has worked for a few days, but just started having this problem. I'm using an ASUS motherboard with an AMD Athlon 1600XP, S3 Savage 2000 video card, and an Enlight case/power supply.
Any suggestions?

Well if it was just built then make the company that built it handle the problem.......if it was self built, then go back to the basics....video card CPU and RAM....and then work up from there, also if you have another video card handy to try, use it. Check the condition of the CPU fan, etc...
