I was reading a review on the various models of Audigy ZS.

I noticed that the one difference was with the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum

ASIO 2.0 Low Latency Multi-Track Recording Support (24-bit/96kHz) - NA

What does that mean? And why is that the only one that has NA?

Quote
"Interestingly, the only real differences between the three cards are the bundled software, the presence of a breakout box, the box type, and whether ASIO 2.0 multitrack recording is supported. Aside from these variables, the three are identical. Based on this, the $99 Audigy 2 ZS is the best value by far. You should really only consider the other two versions if you need the additional I/O or want to get a home recording studio going. "

Well, I would like to be able to record some guitar stuff on the computer so the additional I/O are very welcome. But I would only go for the Platinum version and not the Platinum Pro version.

You should check out the reviews on www.cnet.com. I don't use my Audigy 2 ZS for anything except gaming, but I chose the gamer package for the 6 games I got for an extra 30 bucks. It's the same exact card as the basic package except for the games included. I think this package was a limited time offer and I don't see it listed in the website you provided.

Here's a link to cnet's Audigy 2 Pro review:

What did I notice that was different about the actual card and chip in each box? Absolutely nothing. What I thought was actually different was all the rest of the crap that I didn't need like the PC front panel interface or that control box with all the nifty knobs on it. However, that stuff may be important to people who use these cards for something other than gaming. :)

Also, I'd like to note that I work in the IC business for an audio company. One of my colleagues has informed me that the Audigy 2 claims to sample and playback at 96kHz, but it can't actually do it. It only does 48kHz. Not sure how true this is, since I never really tried sampling yet.
