Hello Everyone, I received a picture in my email (not an attachment) and the text was ok but the picture showed up as an empty frame and a RedX so i went to internet properties and made sure the SHOW PICTURES was checked off and it was and i even right clicked on the RedX and clicked on Show Picture (from the drop down menu) But still no picture. now i was told this is a standard gif. and it was not in an attachment! Does anyone know of a setting that I am missing here, would really appreciate some help this is in my Yahoo but I think it may be other places too??

Sounds to me like either the email was corrupted during transmission or you didn't get the full email. Ask them to send it again. Hope this helps!

Pentachris, Thank you for the feedback. I found out exactly why my yahoo was not showing pictures in my email. For security reasons, imbedded images in HTML
formatted mail will not be
displayed in Yahoo! Mail. In place of the image,
there may be a square
with a red "x". If you receive mail with
imbedded images, Yahoo! Mail
will automatically convert them to separate
attachments. To view the
images, simply click on the "Download
Attachments" link on the message.
Yahoo! Mail will then show a listing of all
images that were included in
the mail. Select the image you wish to view by
clicking on Download
File. This will allow you to view the image
online or also allow you to
download it to your hard drive. Anybody who has Yahoo mail should print this out and save for future information. I was really sweating it I thought something was wrong with my new XP home editon, Thanks again, TOM
