Using TrueRTA as a audio spectrum anaylizer:

(primary purpose), not for anything real critical, mostly speaker response in a Home Theater enviroment. I read over the choice of preamps for this program. I'm using it on a laptop that does NOT have a line in or out, just mic and headphone.

I do have a balanced mic and a matching xformer that works, but the output is way too low to be useful with this laptop's audio chipset (SoundMax). I'm looking for a preamp with a balanced in (not necessary to be powered) and a line (unbalnaced) out to eliminate the external matching xformer.

Any ideas? (I will do a search, but looking for input also).

Thanks..............
