I just bought a new Thermaltake Xaser III (tranfered comp to new case) and I cant seem to get my temps down. My comp idles at about 35-40C but when I start running programs, I.E. Doom 3, my cpu temps can get up close to 60C. I have quite a bit of things in my comp: Mobo, CPU, Video Card, Sound card, 2 CD-ROM drives, floppy drive, 2 10,000 RPM HDDs, and a 7200 RPM HDD.

I have 2 intake fans in the front, 2 on the side, and 2 exaust fans in the back and a blow hole fan.

Any suggestions on how I can get my temps down about 10 degrees? I'm wouldn't mind putting water cooling in, but not exactly sure how safe they are. Last think I wanna do is burn wreck the comp I just spent all this money on. Either with heat or water.

To get your cpu temperature down, the cpu is the processor chip, so maybe you should look at getting a bigger and/or better fan for that.

Maztrim,
Sounds like you should have good case ventilation. What are your case temps like? You didn't mention what you are using for cooling your CPU. If it is a stock heatsink and fan, it might not be up to the task especially if case temps are being elevated by all the other hardware.
Tell us what your CPU is and what kind of HSF/thermal paste you are using. I agree tho 60C is a little too warm for comfort.

I have a AMD 64 3000+ in. My thermal paste is somekind of silver-something. Don't know the brand though. And I am using the stock heatsink and fan.

I would suggest buying another better heatsink and fan for your cpu. The original ones don't always work the best after you add lots of components to your system creating more heat.
