I turned to this forum last week with a power problem and virtually no idea what to do about it. Thanks to Bassman, Pete, and all the others who replied to my post. I was able to procure the correct power supply after much hassle. Apparently the folks at Acer didnt want it to be too easy to swap any parts as a regular size ATX supply would not fit in my case. They also make the motherboard a weird size so you just cant swap cases. I made a comment last week about wondering whether I should just grab my ankles and take it to a shop. It wouldnt be fair unless I told you now that it was a guy at a regular old repair shop that went out of his way to help me out and I am glad to say I got the right one installed and am back on track. Once again, thanks to all for the info and I hope to be an active member here for a long time to come. God Bless planet Earth and especially Computer Repair Inc. in Anniston Alabama.

Slightly fearful about posting this..lol. Got error message earlier so went off and did other things then came and checked. My post not there, so gonna try again but, Pete, I apologize if it double posts!
Thanks for posting "positive". Don't know if it is human nature or something else, but one rarely hears anything about the thousands of "good" car repair shops, puter shops, cops...anything. One hears from friends and family about the "bad" experiences. My puter was built by a young man named Alex, and he did a fine job because I have had no real problems for over two years. Would plug his shop, but sadly, he went out of business. (If by some chance you're reading this, Alex..you gave me a great gift with my puter and I definitely got my money's worth! Thank you.)
