I have a new system of the following:
Abit kt7a motherboard
1.2ghz amd chip
Geforce 2mx400 video card
1024mb ram
20 gig 7200 hd
cd/dvd drive

It works fine, unless I reboot it for any reason. Then it comes up with a 'checksum error'. Even if I turn it off and back on, i get the same thing. The only way it works fine is if it sits off for a while. Then when I turn it on cold, it's o.k. Sounds like a heat problem maybe, but all of the components are brand new!
Any ideas are gratefully appreciated!
Steven

That would be my first bet. Check and see if cpu is seated good and heat sink and fan are tight, if so install another fan. Cool is always good. Post back if this fails.
