I need some information regarding ComTIA A+ certification... In the past there was always a time limit in place in which you must write and pass one test, then write and pass the second one to become A+ certified. My question, is how long is the current tests (220-301, 220-302)valid, or due to be updated, I don't want to buy study material and find out that its only good for a short time and the tests have changed, the study material is no longer up to date, or I have no time left to study and write the second test to complete my certification.... links to such information will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help

All I was told by a CompTIA instructor is the current tests had been changed to their current version "recently". I have no idea what time frame that means. I can tell you that both tests I took last month covered plenty of XP material and did not seem outdated at all.

CompTIA changed to the XP syllabus recently ( november 2002), and as there is no OS change on the immediate horizon, you won't have any worries about it changing any time soon.
CompTIA qualifications never need renewing. However, if you want to move between jobs or keep your qualifications current for any other reason, it's probably best to re-sit them now and then (3 years is the norm)
I did my A+ the year they introduced the XP syllabus, and though we were experimented on with it, we actually did the 2000 syllabus. ( ok, so we got all questions on NT!)
things like the Linux+ are due to change dramatically. Expect the same with the security+ (which I'm doing at present) - it's up to the individual how often they re-sit them. It just means there is no pressure to do them every 'x' number of years
