I cant find conflicts anywhere. Tryed to go into help and it won't find hh.exe either I used to think i could fix something if I read enough about it but now i can't do that , but I need the drive more than the help file I think! any help would be great. I have tryed removeing It and letting the wizard find It and It did but still not accessable any help would be great. Thanks in advance

Hello Todd,
Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif Forums!
Have you tried removing the device in SAFE MODE? Then, REBOOT and letting Windows reinstall.
What is supposed to be on the D: drive you mention is not showing up?

It's my internal drive but It won't find disk In It just shows d; Drive and don't know how to do It In safemode I don't think so anyway. I need to go to work be back soon thanks so much
I would first try to access the D: drive from a dos prompt.
Boot up and reboot to DOS prompt and check the D drive.
Use scandisk and or chkdsk to inspect the drive.
Try to read and write to the drive in dos..
A simple DIR command will show if you can read the drive.
To test the write . Open the dos edit program and create a test.txt file.
Save the file to d:
if you can read and write to the drive in dos them it’s a setting or lock in win that is the problem

Just tryed rebooting with startup disk and got general failure reading drive a: retry, ignore, abort or cancel. could you tell me how to do it in safemode and thanks so much anyway
todd
Boot up in 98 then shut down and select boot/restart in dos. Mode.
Or Shut down the system.
Then restart it and press F8 while it boots.
At the boot menu select dos prompt.
Then change to the d: drive

try pressing F8 at boot to get to start up menu.
then choose option 6, "Command Prompt Only", when you get to the prompt, type scanreg /restore with a space between scanreg and /.
restore your registry to ONE {{only}} day before this happened.
is that doesn't work, do it again and type: scanreg /fix
do this and give us apost back/
