This is embarrassing, but I think "bookmarks" are all those links I have saved in my Favorites folder, right? Assuming so, I back up my Favorites folder by opening Windows Explorer, click on Windows folder, the Favorites and copy to floppy. Recently, I just add the actual links by opening both Favorites folders (in Windows Explorer and on the floppy) and dragging any new links over (copying and pasting). I haven't needed to save to CD, but would be same procedure to copy/paste through my packetwriter...or you could use whatever you're most comfortable with.
Shouldn't be any problem....and for most people they should fit on a floppy (I am pushing close to 1000 (over 500 tech related) and they still fit on a floppy).
Since you said Yahoo bookmarks are these through Yahoo Companion or said on your Yahoo!...either case there should be an export function (under edit in My!Yahoo) just click on the export and follow the onscreen istructions....if you are using a CD-RW like a big removeable disk the just save it there to begin with...if you are going to make a back-up save the export to a folder and them when you have enough data to burn a disk....
My current list: as an HTML page....86KB, as the "Favorites" folder...222KB

Thank You MJC, It was easier than i thought(you were right), I simply went to Yahoo bookmarks and clicked on (go here button) and all my bookmarks showed up on one page so I went up and clicked on File and selected SEND TO DESKTOP then i went to desktop and right clicked again, selecting SEND TO FLOPPY DISK and now I have Not only on Floppy but a shortcut on my desktop(which i can delete)if not wanted! Thank you again, TOM PS: Kate if you have Yahoo try this!

Glad it worked. Same procedure works for your Address Book (Export to..etc), and I save that to floppy also. Backing up everything you can is always a good idea, especially if you're like me, and both you and puter are getting older by the day. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

kayofcircles: Thank You for that, i forgot all about my address book! Going to do it now, by the way can i put the same Floppy in the pc and do the address book too? Because the Bookmarks did not take ukp much room! Will the Floppy pick up where it left off or what do i do so i wont rewrite over the bookmarks? TOM

I don't have as many links as mjc does, but have plenty of room on the floppy for both the Address Book and my Favorites..and think have a few other things on there as well. Yes, just Export the address book to wherever you please, then Send to floppy. Or, just looked, and you can Export it directly to the floppy. I do rename mine..put a date on it so that I will know that it's current..just don't fool with the ".wab" end. If ever you want to see what's on the floppy, just click on My Computer, then open A drive. It will only overwrite something that it already has; like say I am updating a file..and when copying to floppy will get message that says "already have that file on this floppy..do you want to replace it with newer?" (or similar words!) and you say "yes". Floppies are limited in space compared to other things, but so easy to use for a lot of common backup. And, by the way, puter will tell you if there's not enough room on the floppy for anything else.

Thank you MJC and kayofcircles, Nevermind, I figured it out, I have them all on Floppy now! I simply put up my address book page and went to File and selected SEND TO Shortcut to desktop, then went to desktop and sent to Floppy A (just like Bookmarks)! Thank You all for your help, TOM
