Happy Birthday OLD Buddy!

Hey! What's going on here??? Seems to me you once had your age posted!

For those of you wondering, my guess would be just about 53! (Same as me)

Does the phrase "Old as the Hills" mean anything to you???

Have a great day and many many more to come! ;)

A little side note....first time I looked at the new Forum colors.
Wow! Bright and Rich . (Just like the Birthday Boy!) :p :D

It's really not like Whyzman to miss out on his Birthday Wishes.
Hope he's on a nice Birthday vacation! :)
Come to think of it, I don't recall a post from him in a few days.

You think he's just embarrassed to show up here again now that he's so old??? :D

Thanks for all the well-wishes folks! Actually, we were out of town during the week of my birthday and just arrived back yesterday evening.

It was the greatest way to spend a birthday I'd ever had. Our family corporation paid for 18 family members (nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, mother and father-in-law, wives and kids) to assist building an orphanage in the desert outside of Guadalupe Mexico.

The building, roads to it, etc., have been under construction for a number of years and our total group (64 folks from all over the US) had the unique privilege of putting the first stages of the roof into place. Oh, there was a group that was going to be there for this stage from Scotland, but for some reason had to cancel...before we left, however, they had called and I think they'll be coming in January to help complete the roof.

We set over 240 trusses (50' ers) and installed nearly 800 sheets of OSB decking as well as trimming the tails and getting the facia boards on. We had some folks who actually do framing for a living to guide, but most of the folks were hands-on learners.

The professionals in the group were slack-jawed seeing what we accomplished in 3 working days...actually, we spent the 4th day laying block...

It is apparently a well kept secret that there are nearly 10 million homeless children in Mexico (yep, that was 10,000,000) http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/frown.gif. The orphanage will be able to hold 264 when completed...

Here's the ministries web site if your interested: www.tapestriesoflife.com (http://www.tapestriesoflife.com/)
Also, here's a link to one of the shots I took as we progressed with the roof: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v103/Whyzman/e709ea69.jpg
I don't think their web site will update before you see my image of the accomplished work this past week...

Thanks once again for your birthday well-wishes, it was indeed a great day...and week celebration (I'm still pumped!) http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/wink.gif

And, yep jabar it is the big 53 so I've caught you once again...well, except for still struggling to get up to your maturity level! http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Oops, almost forgot the most important part: Solamente Por La Gloria De Dios!
