No sound is coming out of my speakers, and I did put it in the right jack, but it keeps saying SoundMAX is not my "default" playback device. Could anyone help?
Thnx :)

I just checked and I have the same sound playback device as you.
Try this.
Start -control panel-sounds and audio-audio and there should be a list of sound devices [in my case Sound max was the only one] make sure that Sound max is checked as default.
Hope this helps. this by the way is with Win Xp

One other thing to try is.
Right click on my computer-left click on properties-left click on hardware-left click on device manager, under sounds video and audio, sound max should be listed . Right click on that and click on properties, from there you should be able to see if it's working alright.
If not unistall and when you reboot Win should reinstall it

Did you try the unistall, reinstall from device manager?
Windows will reinstall on reboot

Okay...
Let's try this.
Go back to my computer-right click-left click properties -leftclick on devices- left click on device manager- left click on sound max and the click on troubleshoot and go thru the steps they have there. I think the first one is no sound from speakers.

Sorry, I forgot to reply, I actually got it working. It was several things. I think one of the 7 viruses on my computer did something :). And also I kept shuting down a program that I needed. Thanks a lot for trying to help though! :)
