Random blocks...

This just started today... Out of nowhere I'm playing final Fantasy XI (online only) where all of a sudden it just stops... not the game the network, i exit since it fails to connect to server and when trying to browse the net it can't access it. Now at the same time this thing got bmupdate (adware) pops up in zonealarm... so anyway, scan, delete and it's working again. Back to playing FFXI when after about an hour it stops again, same network block. This time scans come up empty but i can access the net for all of ten seconds before pausing... Use System mechanic and clear invalid registries and uneeded files and here i am back on the net after numerous tries and blocks and have no idea what's happening, when it'll block again and whether this is truly an adware problem. It's starting to greatly annoy.
Any help? I may be fine for the far future or it may just block again.

Can you simply turn off "bmupdates" from adaware?

I've deleted it a good while ago. But now after turning on my computer my net refuses to work period. (using 56k laptop at the mo). Now this wasn't just after I deleted bmupdate, this is a good few resests and full switch off's after so something has completely died software wise and i have no clue.
