I stumbled across this (http://www.snopes.com/sports/football/election.asp) yesterday.
Yes, I'm fully aware that to believe this is an accurate predictor is a post hoc fallacy, but it's still an amazing coincidence. So, just for grins & giggles, cast your vote!
Yeah, well, if it quacks like a duck. . . .

Boy...Ol' Joe Gibbs was an amazing Coach. And now he's back.
Sure hope he still has what it takes. :D

Brett Favre was reported to have said his daughter wants him to retire and spend more time at home. Does this mean Bush will win the election?

The way the Packers have been playing lately, (even with Brett Farve).......YES! :p

jabar & donn:
Righ back at you! (http://www.youforgotpoland.com/video.html) :p
Well, I think I'm ready to take G. and his mental--verbal slips over Kerry and his "more sensitive war" mentality, and his really whacko logic that it was ok to vote for the military liberation of Iraq, but only since he voted AGAINST supplying the troops with what they needed, and then, on top of that, he turns around and says if he was president the troops would have all the body armor and other supplies they needed that George Bush failed to supply them with.... ????
G. is confusing to listen to at times, but Kerry is confusing to even think about.... :)

Sorry Lady Grey: You owe me one so you'll have to forgive me.
Don:
If you think that someone who has nuance and knows that situations or not always black and white and you beleive all of the hype the Bush campaign puts out, then vote for the President.
It's real simple. I'm rooting for the Packers because I'm an Eagles fan and I always root for a loss by the division oponent. If it causes Bush to loose and helps the Eagles win the division, well that's a bonus.
If you want to start a thread about the candidates and their respective posistions, bring it on. Let's start a new thread. I hate to see Lady Grey upset.

You know what would be kind of fun? (But I'm not going to do it!!!)
To have a simple Poll: "How are you going to vote"?
1.Bush
or
2.Kerry
The only stipulation (and the only way it would remain fun), would be if you were not allowed to add a comment...only vote.
There are so many Polls out there, it would be fun to have a PC Guide Poll. (Again, the "fun" would go away very fast if people were allowed to add their two cents).
As we've seen in the past, it can get out of control easily.
Just an idea, but I'm afraid the urge would be to great for people to explain their position.....kind of a shame.
yeah, but then how would you know if someone has voted Chicago style--vote early, vote often, and bring your dead relatives. Besides, isn;t that what the poll at the top of this thread is asking? :D

Concerning the first part of your question- You can only vote once. (The forum would tell you that you've voted already).
To answer the second part....Yes.
However, the thread topic doesn't exactly hit you right away that it could be a political poll.
Anyway.....it was a bad idea. Lets forget I mentioned it. :p ;)
Classic: Please, it's an Irish thing, D-o-n-n, that's the way they gave it to me, thanks....
as far as a discussion of the elections, nah, too complicated, too boring, I'm just looking at current events, factual events and deciding between what they present...one week Mr. Kerry says we ought to start removing troops from Korea. About 10 days later Bush says he is going to start removing troops from Korea, and Kerry comes on the evening news and says it's most outrageous thing he can think of...leaving the poor Koreans without us to protect them...it's almost a living Saturday Night Live :p that's not politics, no-- politics is much too dull for me.
And the 'Skins' real name ought to be "The Foggy-Bottom Hogs."

Well, maybe it's just asking us what kind of person we like irrespective of THEIR party affiliations....

The anonymous vote thing without a big back-and-forth discussion is kind of what I was going for; I guess the thread topic doesn't really draw you into that, though... :(
I've made my decision, and I respect yours; but if you want to point me to a website or post a picture that good-naturedly (if that wasn't a word before, it is now; print it in your dictionary ;)) pokes fun at EITHER candidate or party, I'll laugh equally hard at them all.

When I said "it was a bad idea", I hope you know I meant my idea.
Yours was a good one.
And, as you said, your intentions were basically the same concept as mine. Just always seems (like Lady Grey observed), that once it turns into a SERIOUS discussion, it gets out of hand.
I'm with you!
For example, the "jib-jab" stuff is a riot....and yes, it pokes fun at BOTH Candidates. ;)
