Not sure if this will work or not.
You can fit an adapter to your serial port that will convert PS/2 connector to serial. (Can be bought from PC World I think they are about £4 - £5) I use one for a mouse on old computer and have no probs with it. Not sure if it works with KEYboard though. Ohters will be able to confirm. If you can do this and the KB works OK I would say that the PS/2
connection on board is up the spout

One other thought, is clearing the CMOS to get back to the default settings. You'd need to check your MB manual for your specific procedure.

diskmatic.....

Give this a go and see if it will help.

Remove the CMOS battery from the MotherBoard. (round silver battery) Take your Lady to a movie at the Cinema. Re-install CMOS battery.

This will re-set CMOS (BIOS) back to default settings.

Re-boot your PC.

Actually you don't have to wait this long, but your Lady will like you.

Otherwise a person will have to try a different style keyboard connector. From Serial port to ps/2 or vice-versa. Or USB.

Luck.
