Hehe...you aint bothering me Mark.
I've been in New Hampshire for 23 years and would never go back, but I was born and raised in CT...50 miles from Yankee Stadium, Shea (when the Jets still played there- not for the Mets), and Giants Stadium.
When I wasn't going to Rock Concerts in the City, I was going to Games! :p ;)
(Edit) I should add that I'm not so far from Fenway now...boy, you've got to be tough to wear a Yankee Hat in that place! :D
Yeah yeah, Yankees schmankees, just wait'll next year---Orioles/Cubs World Series. . . .

I took my wagers off from the Red Sox when Yaz retired... don't even watch 'em anymore. But the Pats is a different story!

I went to Fenway Park for the first time a few months ago while visiting with my sister who goes to school up there. That was a madhouse! The whole city was one big enthusiastic Red Sox fan.
Donn: I like your signature.
we sail tonight for Singapore
we're all as mad as hatters here...

The poor kid looks really traumatized......he may NEVER recover from a childhood experience like that!
Can't tell if the other kid is laughing or crying....
Maybe he looked too and he's laughing. :p

Have you heard the entire song? if not, get it and check it out, also his piece about "I'm not drunk, I just drinking." Tom Waits, what a crank, but what a talent!!
Jaber--what poor kid looked traumatized ?

Sorry to quote myself, but I tried to edit, and kept getting that annoying "fatal error" report. . . .
ah. Jaber, I got it, just saw the picture...
Mark: I don't smoke anything. . .just to, uh, clear the air about that.

Donn:
I've got several Waits albums, and I've heard most of what I don't own. Good stuff. Sometimes strange, sometimes beautiful, sometimes both...

So pentachris, would that be strangely beautiful, or beautifuly strange?
Steve my thoughts exactly :D ;)
Waits was on Letterman a little while ago...little bit like PeeWee Herman interviewing Beethoven, I thought... ;)

Yep,
I bet those kids just discovered a whole new meaning to 'Bag Pipes"...
"I'm not drunk, I'm just drinking."
I guess I need to get some Tom Waits as he sure sounds like one smart cookie

It took me a while to find it, I couldn't recall the chorus exactly....
Wipe him down with gasoline
'til his arms are hard and mean
From now on boys this iron boat's your home
So heave away, boys
Fruss: Put this line "I've fallen for a tawny Moor" without the quotes, in Google, and you'll get a page with most of his song lyrics, also call in to yur local progressive radio station and ask them to play either "Step Right Up" or "I'm Not Drunk I'm Just Drinkin' ". Ah, come to think of it...."How Come My Dog Don't Bark When You Come Around" is pertty good too.
Edit: that last one is Dr John, sorry. Nevertheless....
Actually ...it's ALL goooood!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D
The only thing that could have been better would be a Braves - Red Sox series. Unfortunately, the Braves didn't show up in the NLDS... :(

Unbelievable series....even though I'm more a Yankee fan, I found myself rooting for the Red Sox in game 4. (Well, I'm more of a Football Fan then anything else, but that's beside the point).
Anyway, when history is made it's a pretty cool thing.
No one has EVER done what they did.
Is the "curse" over???
Should be an interesting World Series.
If the Red Sox were to win the whole thing, it would truly be amazing. ;)
(Edit) I suppose I should add that if that happens, the Fans will probably destroy the City of Boston.
Never could quite understand how destroying someone else's property was a way to celebrate a "victory".
On second thought, I think I do understand......Booze! (I've been in Boston at 2am before...just a very short walk to the next bar).

That's a funny way of saying 'next year Cubs vs Orioles in the Series.' I must say I've never heard it said that way. But, yes, and hopefully we won't be having a fan in the outfield seats to interfere with the ball.
[but, y'know, of course. . . we'll take it if we can get it :D ]
