I sold my computer on ebay but the buyer says it has arrived all bashed up and he keeps getting error messages so he took it to a shop and they say it was overclocked, he has threatened me legal action.
It was in perfect condition and working order when i sold it and I have never overclocked it. Does anyone know where i stand I live in the uk. Thanks :(

Did you insure the package, or offer insurance with a disclaimer if the purchaser opted not to insure?
What kind of feedback rating does the purchaser have? Unfortunately, there are unscrupulous folks looking to take advantage of the honest...even on eBay!
Feedback is the lifeblood of doing business on eBay and there are folks who also see this as the Achilles' Heel of those who have immaculate feedback records. Threats are made to leave negative feedback if the seller does not do extraordinary things to resolve a "problem!"
You might want to contact eBay directly for advice. At least, so they are appraised of the situation. Be sure to save all emails between you and the agrieved party.
I would first look at the feedback of the purchaser and see if there's a pattern of this type of behavior.
Also, what "solution" has the purchaser approached you with?

The buyer has 100+ and 2-, Ive contacted ebay but they havent replied yet to my message, theyve contacted me on his behalf saying Ive sold fraudu  lently and if the matter isnt resolved within 7days ebay will contact me.
I did insure the package and Ive given him the parcel number so he can make a claim. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it when it was posted he says it was over clocked, I never overclocked it though

Is it possible that the computer was overclocked even though you didn't personally do it or have knowledge that it was??
If the parcel was damaged in transit, indeed, a claim can be made.
Again, what exactly is the buyer wanting you to do?

I would keep eBay appraised of all communications, letting them know that the buyer has not been responsive to your inquiries. I would make sure that you ask strait up what the buyer would like to have you do to resolve the situation.
It would be a bit difficult to resolve the situation within 7 days if the buyer is not communicating with you and letting you know what they want...
