I am helping a coworker of mine change computers. He has been working on a win98 computer since 98 came out and I have finally convinced him to make the move to a much better computer that is installed with XP home.
He wants several things moved over and wants the new one to be much the same. I think that I have set most of it the way he wants but I am having plenty of trouble with the browser and email client. Both the old and the new use IE6 and OE6. I need to move the address book and the favorites folder. I think that I could do it with two 98 computers, but this is xp...

One pretty painless way is to simply use the "Import Export Wizard". (Available in both programs in the File Menu up Top).
Simply open the Address Book itself in OE6, "Export" the Address Book (.wab) , and the Favorites in IE6.

Save both to a Floppy, USB Thumb Drive, CD (whatever), and "Import" to the two Programs in the new computer.
(Specifically open the Address Book to "Import" the .wab), and just use the IE6 import Wizard to import the favorites.

There are other ways, but this works well.
