Someone please help! my audio is really messed up. It's completely unbalenced and it sounds echo-y. It's like it's only playing out of one speaker, but it't playing out of both. It's only playing some parts of the audio. It sounds like crap. I'm sorry I can't really explain it well, but I don't really understand it. Through my speakers it sounds like this, so I tried plugging headphones directly into the sound card. Same thing. I'm frustrated, I have alot of music on my computer! please help?

If you installed any software right before the problem started, then uninstall it, and see if that helps.

If that's N/A or it does not work, then update your AV program with the latest updates, and search for a virus.
Also, d/l and run Ad-aware, Spybot, and CWShredder to remove any spyware.

If that does not help, then shut down all unnecessary programs running in the background, especially the AV program.

If still no luck and your system has a sound card installed, then check if the MB has a built-in audio adapter.
If it does, then make sure the adapter is disabled in BIOS.

If that's N/A or it does not help, then disable all options in the sound card's software for sound enhancements(3D, stereo expansion, etc.).

If no good, then start in Safe mode, remove all sound devices from Device Manager, restart, let Windows recognize the sound card, and reload its drivers.

If still no good, then update the sound card's drivers.
