improving display help

Are there any generic video cards drivers that offers more than 2 -16 colors. I put win98 on a compaq presario 1655 notbbok and it gave it generic drivers and the display is not very good. Any thoughts

Look up drivers for your laptop model on the HP site, it should be listed. HP took over Compaq support when they bought the company, drivers and software are a pain to find, but usually are still there.

Thanks for the replies, i found a driver at driverguide. I still can't opened the software on that site i can see the software but when i clicked to download it the page does not appear, owell but i did find thanks so much for the replies.
