King Arthur:

"I am your King !!"

Peasant woman:

"How did you become King?"

King Arthur:

"The Lady of The Lake. . .held aloft Excalibur from the bossom of the water signigfying by Divine Providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. That is why I am your King !!"

Peasant man (Dennis):

"Listen, strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony. . . .

King Arthur:

"Shut up !!"

Peasant man (Dennis):

:. . .You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you. . . If I went 'round saying I was an emporer just because some moistened bimbo threw a scimitar at me, they put me away !!. . . "

"Constitutional Peasant" from the sound track of Monty Python And The Holy Grail

Watch out for the 'farcical aquatic ceremonies' and happy election day however you vote.

:)

I'll second that, but it's going to be a long road, and no place for dilletante or 'hesitantes'.

If you get a chance, there is a webcast on thurs and friday nights US eastern 9 pm by a man named David Emory on www.kfjc.org (the station is utterly bonkers). He gives lectures on the history of the middle east situation. He is not politically predisposed, he just talks about how things line up. I was really shocked to find out how extensive were the workings and recruitment of the Nazi SS in the middle east and the Balkans through the heinous personage of the Grand Mufti of Palestine (during the 40s). Apparently many of those units still exist under the guise of their home countries' designation. Which reinforced my thinking that if we don't keep troops on the ground in the middle east we are going to have a middle eastern version of 'Der Fortress Europe" . That's 1,000 km of closed borders from Gaza on the Mediterranean to Pakhistan on the Indian Ocean. God would only know what misdeeds and wicked works would go on in that Mordor, seeing what they have been up to in relative plain sight.

Well, come what may, happy election day (unless of course you're Japanese, and then I guess you'd have one of those every night, right?, Well whatever, sorry I mentioned it. . . . :o )

:D
