Hey all,
I bought new video card few days ago ATI Radeon 9200SE (128MB) from Gigabyte , The computer was working fine and it was stable before installing it but then after i installed it and i updated both the chipset the video card drivers to the latest version problems started to appear like random restarts and crashes.
Both the card and the mobo supports AGP 8X. The card is working on 8X and fast write is enabled, i tried 4X and the problems are still there.
what could be the problem? Is there something wrong with the card?

Thanks alot.

Here's my specs :
AMD AthlonXP 2.5+
Aopen AK77-8XN (VIA KT400)
ATI Radeon 9200SE
256 MB Ram

Which operating system are you using?

You might want to try entering SAFEMODE and see if the random problems go away...

Sometimes it's like the adage says -> 'If it ain't broke.....'

Go back to the old drivers, etc., and see if that helps.

...problems started to appear like random restarts and crashes.
When do these occur? During heavy graphical loads (like games)? Or any random time? Did you test the system before installing the new drivers or was that your first step after installing the new vid card?

Off-hand, it sounds to me like your new 9200SE is overheating, but that's just an initial guess.
