ATI TV Wonder and Radeon 9600 AIW Problem

I have a computer running Windows XP.
I installed an ATI TV Wonder LE sucessfully. However, whenever I open the TV tuner, my screen resolution changes from 1280x1024 to 800x600. I uninstalled this card and upgraded to an ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon 9600. I have the exact same problem with the new card as I did with the old. I've upgraded catalyst drivers, tried different screen resolutions, and uninstalled/reinstalled the card and all software with it at least three times. Help! :confused:

I've never had an All-in-Wonder, but as far as I know, most TV Tuners operate at 800 x 600 or less. It's a safety issue because anything higher is usually not supported by a TV (the latest gaming consoles can go higher but that's because they use a HD-TV signal). I don't know if it's supposed to change your screen's resolution, tho. Have you looked in the documentation?
