Remove script file

I got a newsletter about a way for the bad guys to get your bank info after opening an e-mail.

They said to remove the "wscript.exe" file.

What are the "cons" if the file is removed?

And if it is a good idea to remove, couldn't you rename the file instead of removing?

See this page (http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/win.script.hosting.html) for details of what the file does, and the pros and cons of deleting it.
There is also a tool for disabling it on that page.

You can also run a program such as analogX's Script Defender (http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/system/sdefend.htm) or Robin Keir's ScripTrap (http://keir.net/software.html) which will intercept scripts and prompt you as to how you wish to proceed.
