I have a PC running Windows Me, and its running really slow and Spybot and Adaware took all of the spyware/adware out but its still running slow. I ran a Norton AntiVirus scan after updating the defs and no infected files were found, but it was still running slow.

So I decided I'd just do a system restore to go back to a date that it was running ok. So I went back about a month or so and about 1/3 the way through the restore it froze.

What can I do?

Thanks a bunch!

BTW...its not my computer so installing another OS isn't an option even though I'd much prefer doing that.

You should be able to go into safe mode and run system restore and get it to undo the changes it made and return to the restore point prior to the failed restoration

I just did installed Windows Me overtop of itself and it seems to be back up and running. Thanks for all of your help!
