How do I "resize" my monitor?

My son tried to install the game "Diablo II" on our computer. We can't play this on our computer but in the meantime, my monitor screen adjusted and now I can't resize back to a full screen. I now have about a 1 1/2 inch black gap on the bottom if I want to see the top - how do I readjust? I hope this isn't too confusing. Tks, NP

Does your monitor have buttons on the front?If you have this type of monitor you can make various adjustments to your picture(to fill screen).
But first,check your pixel settings or screen resolution(from desktop,right click/properties/settings).Is the screen area at its default(normal) setting for the monitor?
