I recently downloaded a file and it contained a worm named "vbs/gedza.a". I ran avg 7 and it said that it was deleted. i thought i was ok until i noticed my system was running slow than before. most of the time when i look at windows task manager it shows my cpu usage between 80 and 100% when i am not even running anything. i have done multiple checks with avg and it comes up with nothing but this seems wierd that my system is running slower. can someone please tell what to do?

Just some suggestions :
Is AVG set to scan "all files" ? Cause that slows my pc down somewhat. I just set it to scan the usual/common files.
And mb download/run TCPview to see if there's some weird activity on some ports.
