simmjl, Welcome to the PC Guide Forums.
Do you have a manual for this motherboard? Has this system worked in the past? What is the revision # of this board. Does this board have a slot 1 (SECC2) and a socket 370 (FC-PGA) processor interface? It is an ECS P6BAT-A+ REV X.X. If you don't have a manual you can download it here (http://www.ecs.com.tw/download/download.htm).
This is the correct forum to post this problem not the "How do I" forum

I get this strange feeling the CPU hasn't made it
to the ball game.

Luck.
