we just finished putting together a pc from old and new parts. basically a rebuilt with new case. Anyway the mothr board is K7VTA3 and Amd processor. basically to make a long story short it does not work. The cpu heat fan comes, the power supply fan comes on but that is about it. There is no beep or post and no monitor activity. The mother board and processor was brought last years at Fry's and we just now got to putting it in. I brought a nvdia video card and 128 ram yesterday to put in it. I remounted the ram and remounted the processor I also took off the peripheal items except hard drive and still nothing. Any suggestion and would bad ram or cpu or video card cause this problem. The mother board p4 and processor was brought a year ago the video card and ram was brought yesterday at pc liquidator. any suggestion?

Check all cables, memory, cards are firmly seated, all power cables are connected to mobo.

If still no post start the computer with only Video, memory and cpu.

Do you have spare parts you can try.

Make sure the clear cmos jumper is in right position - check manual.
