Hello everyone, I am new to the forums and so far have been able to find a lot of information I find helpful.

I am preparing to take the A+ hardware exam next week (hopefully the OS portion next week too) and I have been going through study guides and sample tests.

But what I am wondering is on the actual exam, are there many questions if at all where you have to "select all that apply". I am trying to get an idea of what to expect other than it will probally be challenging :) I have taken some sample tests where you select one answer, and others where every question is select all that apply. Some of those questions also seem like trick questions to me :D

Thanks for all of your input and suggestions !

thanks for the warm welcome Jiggy. Monday is when I plan on taking mine as well, that second link looks like it is going to help a whole lot. I am hoping I pass, 150 bucks pertest is a lot if I fail :D

Hi youngsw. I took the tests in September and found that as the practice tests do ask to select "all that apply", the actual tests ask for a specific number as in "choose 2" or "choose 3".

I think the practice tests are designed that way to exercise your brain more so you must know the answer(s). Just my opinion.

As for "trick quesitons" there are many tricky ones - be sure to read each question twice before answering and look for that all important 3 letter word - "NOT".

Good luck.

Oh I love the infamous NOT word, nearly failed a test in school because of that one :)

With luck with my experience in the industry and my extra studying I will pass the tests. Only decided to get it because it's required for a job I want, other than that I qualify :D
