View Full Version : High Speed Internet // At 100Mbps

I am running XP PRO with Sp2 I have a Internet connection of 100Mbps.
It runs very well with my XP Pro.
I wonder if that would be the case with Win2000 Pro?
This is considering a little above average Video Card installed with Win200P
Would anyone have heard, or experience a problem with the Win2000P, and high speed Internet service?

No problem that I know about with Windows2000 speed on the Internet, but of course it does not matter much as Internet speed is seldom limited by the client PC speed (the internet connection is slower than the network itself).
Just thinking, how did you determine your speed?

My thoughts would be,,,
Don't worry about benchmarking your connection speeds past a few days of a new ISP subscription. Most servers I'd be interested in downloading anything useful, usually limit bandwidth to be fair to others. If you get downloads of 50mbps or even as little as 50kbps, it still beats dial-up!
Ohh, but this is all a game(r) to you, huh?.. ;) :D

We have a continuous connecting speed connection showing. Plus the the packets sent and received inwhich you can take the time that you have been on, which is also shown, and calculate for an average>>
Yes you are definitely right, so far as I have exxperienced that at least a P3 and up to p4 with a approx. speed of 700 above MHZ cpu.
Thank you for your reply>
