nt4 server and aol

im trying to configure my nt4 server to connect to the aol cable network so i can host websites with it the aol software wont install on server OSs though so i tried configuring my router (netgear rt314) to connect but ive still had no luck with it can anyone help?

Welcome to the http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif forums. I would think is the job for AOL tech support. It's their software and you should install it the way THEY see fit.

ive called them 8 times and i havnt been able to get a solution from them and ive called netgear twice (i have a netgear router) and they wont help me either

Who have you spoken to and what did they say? It may be the software is not designed to run in the server enviorment and was not designed to do what you are seeking. Please let me know what they said. If they were just clueless, you need to get to a higher level of support.

they all said different things some said aol is compatible with servers some said it isnt some said aol isnt compatible with nt some said it is some said if i cant get it to work i can configure my router to connect so thats why i called netgear they refuse to help me so i found this site

AOL is in their own universe, they want all the content on THEIR servers, the rest of the Internet does not exist.

well basically im 15 and my mom wants aol and shes the one paying for it so i cant have much say in our isp ive tried to talk her into getting earthlink and aol for broadband but she doesnt want to

i know someone that went to school to get a doctrit in novell and the school gave him a package that includes a 10 cal nt4 server, nt4 option pack, and 2 cal back office SBS (small business server)

i know someone that went to school to get a doctrit in novell and the school gave him a package that includes a 10 cal nt4 server, nt4 option pack, and 2 cal back office SBS (small business server) and my friend gave me all of that because he doesnt know how to use it and he didnt need it. i might be able to get a 2000 advanced server running soon so i might need help with that one next
