CD ROM PROB!!

MY CD ROM STOPPED WORKING.
I CAN OPEN AND SHUT IT BUT WHEN I CLICK IT IT SAYS...
(D:\IS NOT ECCESSIBLE THE DEVICE IS NOT READY!!)

Does this problem occur with all discs that are inserted in the drive?

Sometimes it's just a matter of cleaning the discs or rebooting. If you're trying to read off of a cdr then there could be a bad burn or hardware incompatibility.

The laser lens could've become dirty or the drive could've failed.

Check the ide connections for being loose, if you're confident working inside the case.
