Hiya... My case is a Generic Galaxy (Silver). I have done a search on the net and there is no support for it.

My case has front mounted mic and headphone jacks with the following internal leads....

1- MIC GRND
2- MIC DATA
3- EAR RIGHT WIRE
4- EAR LEFT WIRE

My motherboard is a (ASUS A7N8X-x) has 8 internal conectors for front audio ports and I was not sure which goes to which on all of them...

1- Mic2
2- AGND
3- MIC PWR
4- +5 VA
5- Line out R
6- BLine out R
7- Line out L
8- BLine our L

I have tried connecting the EAR LEFT and EAR RIGHT to LINE OUT L and LINE OUT R, and also BLINE OUT L and BLINE OUT R - this makes the audio connectors at the front panel work, but then the normal audio connector at the back does not work. Kinda confuse and need help. What do I connect to what? and also what do I connect the mic to as well, ( not even tried working on tht yet)

Thanks

Standard onboard audio is not as feature-rich as a dedicated sound card, so I suspect that your front headphone jack will not work until you get a PCI sound card. Something like a Sound Blaster Audigy2 would be able to support multiple outputs. Also, it could be a BIOS setting that needs to be turned on for your onboard audio to work on both outputs - you'll have to check your manual for that.

As for the microphone hook up, I would connect the case's MIC GRND to the mobo's AGND, and the case's MIC DATA to the mobo's Mic2. That assumes all the wires match up. Ie, the mobo connector has 2 pins and the case's connector has 2 wires. If the wires don't match up, let us know.
