Ok, is this an off the shelf machine like an eMachines, HP, COmpaq, etc or is the machine one that was built for you?

Things you know:

1. It is an i810e motherboard.
2. AMI BIOS with an id string of:63-0100-009999-00101111-071595-WHITNEY

You can grab the AMIBIOS id utility from AMI here (http://www.ami.com/support/mbid.html), this should help you figure it out.

Hello skuggi,

Welcome to PC Guide Forums!

I just did a GOOGLE SEARCH (http://www.google.com)and came up with this: TYAN TOMCAT i810 Plus

The site is Japanese and I couldn't make sense out of it...However, if you check out TYAN you might see what you've got.

Hope this helps! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

Here is a link to the BIOS update page (http://www.tyan.com/support/html/b_tm_810.html) for your motherboard be sure to check to make sure it is the right one and the AMI flash utility is at the bottom of the page
