Very slow !!!

Very hard to get on site, very hard to go from one thread to next, very hard to even get links from mail to here.
Just this site, noticing this for last couple of days
Not complaining just bringing it to the powers to be attention
also vey hard to just post thread

I'll second that. It's not always slow, but it's slow more often than not. Sometimes 30 seconds or more between pages.

Slow here too. Seems to be the same at any time of day. Hope it's not the same as affected SWI and the others!

It seems to be this site the last 2 days that is slow so I get active at another and bounce back and forth.

WOW! Even as I type it pauses and spurts as well! Hopefully it's resolved shortly. :(

Slow here as well. I haven't seen anything like some of you have like 30 seconds to load page. But definitely slow over the last couple of days. :(

It has got very bad. It's a long time since it was like this. The pings are good and the guide at http://www.pcguide.com seems fine so the finger of suspicion would seem to lie with the server dealing with the dynamic content I guess.

Slightly slower here, too. I noticed that the past few days have had slow spots. It takes about 15 seconds to get into some posts, and that is very slow to seeing that I enjoy broadband. :D

Actually the last day or so it has returned to normal [at least for me]
either an internet as a whole problem or our servers are getting overworked.

I have to apologize to all of you. This has actually been caused by my starting a new (non-technical) web site this week, which exploded in popularity WAY faster than I ever expected. (See the Announcements section for more on this site.) I am working on a hardware upgrade or other solution. I just need to ask your patience.

No problem, IXL. Actually, I'm kind of glad it happened because it gave me a perfect opportunity to try out my tracert.exe utility. I seemed to get over the ocean just fine...but

My 10th hop was at 12.123.137.21 (AT&T, Philadelphia), and then a hop timed out (seemed like forever), and then I was finally connected to 209.68.14.80 (I'm sure that IP looks familiar...:).

Took roughly 5 minutes to get here to post this, and I have 768 Mbps DSL. I do understand the difficulties, Charles, and I am willing to help in any way that I can to get the site back up to speed (no pun intended!). Like Mark said: "whatever ya need and as long as ya need it."

Thanks for being understanding. I just talked to pair and they upped the number of connections so the lengthy "stalls" should diminish until we can toss some more hardware at this thing. :)
